Over the past two weeks, Luke Scott has been on of MLB's hottest hitters batting .421 (16-38) with 3 HR, 6 RBI and 9 runs in his last 10 games. His hot streak continued during the team's off-day (May 24) on the Chesapeake when he caught the biggest fish of the day - a 10-lb, 28-inch Rockfish.
Scott hit the water with Greg Shute of Annapolis, MD, and his 9-year-old son Brennan, winners of the "WFN: World Fishing Network Fish with Luke Scott Contest." They also won a $1000 and the chance for their experience to be shared with anglers worldwide on a WFN: World Fishing Network show.
The group was hosted the Maryland Saltwater Sportfishermen's Association and Captain Jerry Judge of Judge Yachts of Annapolis aboard the McKenna Jane II.

Wow. What a fun trip! Luke is a great guy and he has fans for life. I want to thank WFN for the opportunity and experience of a life time!Posted by Tracy From Laurel on May 27, 2010
Luke jammed his left shoulder when he was playing 1st Base in Sunday's game at the Nationals. He went diving for a ball in the 10th inning. It had nothing to do with fishing on Monday's day off. (BTW -- The pitcher covering 1st Base on the play ended up on the DL with a hamstring pull.) Luke recovered enough to win Wednesday's Orioles Cook-Off. His winning dish was Surf & Turf consisting of fillet mignon & samon topped with scallops in a cappers sauce complete with sides of broccoli & baked sweet potato.Posted by Bob From Baltimore on May 26, 2010
