Answer: The thing I love about fishing in Chicagoland is the ability to fish for a wide variety of species in such a small area. The Chicago area has alot to offer. Whether you want to fish big water (Lake Michigan) or spend your day paddling a canoe on the river, this area can offer all types of anglers a setting in which they can feel comfortable. To answer the second question, I couldn't really say that I'm the best angler. What I can say is that my love for fishing and the outdoors makes me a responsible angler. I've always felt like as anglers, we must be accountable to the resource. When I fish, I always practice catch and release, and I always try to leave the lake better than I found it. So, in closing, I wouldn't call myself Chicago's best angler, I'd call myself Chicago's best conservationist.
