I grew up in Hespeler, ON a two minute walk from the Speed River. Fishing was something my Dad didn't do (until he was in his 50s and I was gone) so I never learned the sport. I now have two sons of my own and want to give them what I never had.
I now live in Omemee, ON in the heart of the Kawarthas. The Pigeon River is just down the road and we have lakes galore at our disposal. My oldest son is five and just got his first fishing pole. I'm 33 and just got my first real rod and reel, too. (I did have a small kids one when I was young, but used it twice with little guidance or results.) My dad is a great dad, but I need to be adopted into an angling family so that I am able to capably teach my sons what I never learned when I was young.
Please adopt me. Help me become a true angler instead of just a guy with a pole trying not to look stupid in front of his sons.
